Six Senses Kyoto: points, with limits

Six Senses Kyoto has 81 rooms and suites in Higashiyama, an indoor pool and spa facilities. Its published pet policy allows trained dogs up to 15 kilograms.

Six Senses publishes IHG One Rewards earning and redemption at the hotel. IHG says other benefits may not be available at Six Senses properties. Ask the hotel about your tier’s treatment before choosing it for status benefits.

Osaka: a direct station connection

THE OSAKA STATION HOTEL connects directly to JR Osaka Station. Its 418 rooms and suites occupy floors 30 through 38; Marriott also lists on-site dining and a no-pets policy. The station connection is a practical reason to choose it for a rail itinerary.

Check Bonvoy rates and benefits on the hotel’s Marriott page. Confirm that the rate qualifies and your membership number is attached to the booking.

Tokyo: Hotel Toranomon Hills

Hotel Toranomon Hills has 204 rooms and suites with interiors by Space Copenhagen. Facilities include a restaurant, a two-level guest lounge and a 24-hour fitness center, with city views from the hotel.

Hyatt publishes member rates and benefits for participating bookings. Confirm breakfast, checkout and upgrade conditions before the refundable window closes if they affect your choice.

Choose around your itinerary

Kyoto offers a wellness-focused stay with a qualified IHG relationship; Osaka gives you direct rail access; Tokyo puts design and a guest lounge into the mix. Compare locations against the places you plan to visit.

Then compare refundable cash rates and available points rates for the same dates. Include only benefits your tier and booking qualify for, and recheck the live hotel and program pages before assigning them a value.
